Nourison's newest collection spotlights the iconic elegance of Christopher Guy's tribute to Coco Chanel

This year’s High Point Market was particularly eventful for Christopher Guy. Founder Christopher Guy Harrison celebrated the company’s 10th anniversary by unveiling a spectacular High Point showroom that reflects the brand’s signature grand-scale sophisticated aesthetic. He also rolled out his new rug partnership with Nourison, marking the brand’s first foray into flooring.

The Christopher Guy Collection debuted in the Nourison showroom at a VIP breakfast and celebratory toast, and played a prominent role in the 20,000-square-foot CG showroom space as well. The rugs are handmade from New Zealand Wool, silk, and mohair, and display an artistry and style that Harrison attributes to the influence of legendary designer Coco Chanel. “To enhance the CG lifestyle collection, there was a need for me to design beautiful rugs based on my own personal interpretation of how Coco Chanel’s home may have looked if she were with us today,” he said in describing the motivation behind the new collection.

“Nourison is a giant in our industry, whose craftsmanship and quality is second to none, and therefore the perfect partnership for Christopher Guy.”

The collection comprises 31 different rugs, with patterns ranging from floral to abstract. They’re grouped by materials: mohair, wool and silk, and pure wool.

“The reaction from customers towards our partnership was fabulous and very well received,” Harrison said. “It showed that our two brands, Christopher Guy and Nourison, go together like strawberries and cream. We are delighted with the response from designers and customers too, who have embraced our unique designs. The Nourison collection added so much to our flagship showroom, and the reaction from those attending market could have not been better.”
